Missing man drowned; body is recovered

KOYUKUK -- A 28-year-old Koyukuk man drowned in the Koyukuk River on Sunday.

David Dayton's body was found around 8:30 p.m., about five hours after he had been reported missing, Alaska State Troopers reported. Searchers found the body three miles upriver from the village.
